Hi everyone, for the start of 2016, I think I'll take some pictures of my local L3 routes, starting with Route XL.
Here's the route on Brockleaze near Neston, Wiltshire.

i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5625_zps1265scft.jpg
The pylons making their way to Corsham.

Here's the pylons on Leafield Road, they line changes to holding two cables on each insulator.

i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5637_zpsryy7dcwn.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF8284_zpsrdxi2f7c.jpg
The pylons head through Leafield Industrial Estate.

i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5642_zpsskqvk9yy.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF8291_zpsccxtpjw8.jpg
Next the pylons head through MoD Corsham, which I can't take pictures of because photography is prohibited in that area.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF8293_zpsqudqda6h.jpg
Well here's the pylons heading out of the area on Park Lane.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5649_zpsk7lv5sdu.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF8294_zpsznjdswcx.jpg
The pylons cross the B3109 near Rudloe.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5674_zpsbzcf1p9n.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5672_zpstdhffcdl.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF8309_zpss7qyzgsm.jpg
And finally here's the pylons on the A4 just outside Corsham.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF8301_zpsrygy2sxr.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5653_zpshsfnphuc.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5654_zpsioja4yi3.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5666_zpszyarvv5b.jpg
The pylons head down the hill and change back to holding one cable on each insulator.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCN5662_zpsbklklopt.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF8306_zps5bgu2ego.jpg
After that the pylons head down into a valley, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to them down, there doesn't seem to be many roads in the valley, I'll see if I can do another fieldtrip of where the route heads to next.
Enjoy!
