These are some of the pictures I took in Cumbria in July (I get round to things eventually). If you drive from Carlisle to Maryport and turn right up any of the back roads, you'll go under these lines after a few hundred yards. The first four pictures were taken on the back roads near Aspatria.
Firstly, a very nice PL4 D10-

and a pre-grid angle tower-

Suspension towers on the other side of the road-

Looking back towards Maryport from slightly further west, both lines go to newer towers for a bit. They can just be seen in the distance-

On a sunnier day, heading towards Carlisle near the roundabout at Thursby-

Across the field there's a D90-

I hoped to get a good picture from the roadside, but the hedge/nettles were too high. I'll find it on Google Streetview.
The PL4s make their way past the north side of Carlisle-

where loads of other circuits congregate.
If you've ever driven up the M6 past Carlisle at night, you'll notice a yard at the northern most part lit up by big bright floodlamps. I always wondered what this place was given the Ordnance Survey map says "RAF Carlisle" over a compound in this area. Imagine my disappointment when I tracked these lights down to a timber yard at the side of the railway. On the plus side, there's a PL4 D60 followed by a D30-

After this the line continues east past the industrial estates and terminates at a new tower just across the M6 at Harker substation. This is the southern most line of the five or six lines you pass under as you drive past Harker on the motorway. (Sorry, no photo of that tower this year- I'll get onto Streetview for that one too)
