Hello All, I spotted an unusual looking L2 tower alongside the A5 road just to the east of Oswestry. I saw it a year ago but I couldn't take a photo then and then forgot about it but having gone past it again last Friday I managed to take a partial photo of the tower and I looked at later on in the journey and remembered that I had seen one before. And sure enough it matches one of the L2 D40ES type towers that I first saw near to Daines. The tower near Oswestry appears to be just be used as a tie off point for a former PL 132kV line that originated just across the road but long since truncated but the circuit nearest the road drops down onto poles beyond the tower. Have a look for the A5/B4580 roundabout and the tower is just in the fields just south of that. maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=52.869363,-3.034716&hl=en&ll=52.867446,-3.026819&spn=0.013704,0.027595&sll=52.867394,-3.035016&sspn=0.013808,0.043945&t=h&mra=mift&mrsp=0&sz=15&z=15 Cheers Paul
