Hello all, Whilst in Yorkshire the other week I was able to combine pylons and railways! I visited the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for the first time, and had the unexpected bonus of haulage by 60163, a class A1 Pacific 'Tornado' Sadly there are not too many pylons in that part of the world, but the scenery is breathtaking, and the people of Yorkshire are wonderful and friendly. 60163 departs from Grosmont by P D Leonard, on Flickr Kind regards to all Paul

I hope you enjoyed your trip on the NYMR.
I guess you didn't get the opportunity to got through to Whitby? If you had then you would have seen the final few towers of the Malton to Whitby JL Eve route which runs across the North Yorkshire Moors, running parallel to the A169 for much of their journey apart from the Pickering area and the final few miles when the pylon route heads right to Whitby just before the decent into Sleights.
