There hasn't been a posting here in 2011 so i thought I'd start a topic or so, and here's my first.
What, if any, railway magazines do people buy and which are people's favourites?
Myself, I subscribe to the excellent Today's Railways UK and usually buy Rail magazine. Occasionally I might buy one of the steam/heritage-orientated magazines and very occasionally a nostalgia magazine.

I have a subscription to 'Rail', 'Traction' and 'Rail Express'. I also subscribe to 'Buses'. In addition, I am a member of the London Underground Railway Society, London Omnibus Traction Society, GB Bus Group, InterCity Railway Society, and Railway Travel and Correspondence Society.
Kind regards to all
Paul

Have you ever read Today's Railways UK? I really would recommend it and find it to be my favourite out of all the railways magazines, not least because it covers all aspects of the railway scene and not just the industry, as is the case with Rail magazine.

Hubby used to be a member of LURS, sadly he let it lapse, and I do miss stealing his Underground News!

I tend to just buy Rail Express now, used to buy some of the others but only if there is an article I am interested in. I cut-up a big pile of old Railway Magazines and others last year to free up space in my room. Still got a big pile of Model Rail magazines to sift through and maybe do the same with those, cut out the articles that I want and recycle the rest.
Cheers Paul
