This is the nearest substation to where I live. It is at Melksham, Wiltshire.
To start of with here's some L2 pylons. These pylons come all the way from Hinkley Point. They are the pylons that head through Semington.

i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF4524.jpg
They end right next to the L2s.

Further up the B3353 are some L3 pylons. This is the line that keeps changing the amount of cables it's holding.

Are these terminal towers? I'm quite sure they're L2.

Another terminal tower, is it an L2 because the other pylons in the line are.

L6 & L2 pylons on Westlands Lane heading from the substation. Some L3 pylons join them about half a mile from the substation. The L2 pylons head to Minety Substation, near Malmesbury. The L3 pylons head to Chippenham. I have no idea where the L6 pylons head to.

More L2 pylons, these ones head to Bramley, near Basingstoke.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5883.jpg
These L2 pylons also cross the field.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5807.jpg
They cross over the railway line, then cross the A350 near Beanacre.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5810.jpg
To finish with here's some PL4 pylons.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5133.jpg
These pylons have numbers on the top. The terminal tower is number 8. What happened to the first 7?
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5136.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5135.jpg
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5142.jpg
Two deviation towers head from the substation.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5149.jpg
Then they cross the railway and become suspension towers.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5147.jpg
The PL4 pylons then cross the A350 between Beanacre and Melksham and eventually catch up with those L2 pylons that went the same way.

Please enjoy!
