Ok, here's some pictures of where the line starts. Again these pictures were taken before the new insulators were put on. The terminal tower at Avon Meads, Bristol. The bridge is St. Philips Causeway. i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSC_2994.jpgAn L3 pylon behind the bowling alley at Avon Meads. Only deviation towers are in this area, the first suspension tower in the line is on Broomhill Road, Bristol. i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSC_2995.jpgHere's the pylons on the A4174, near Bristol. They go in some sort of pattern here. They go: suspension tower, deviation tower, deviation tower, suspension tower, deviation tower, deviation tower, suspension tower, deviation tower, deviation tower, until they pass through a housing estate, near Longwell Green. i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSC_2119.jpgi1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSC_2117.jpgThese pictures were taken with my original digital camera so sorry about the quality.

Nice L3DS set. This is 132kV - judging by the extended arcing horns, configured so it could be upgraded to 275 easily, rather than erecting a flavour of PL16 or even L4M/7. Yet to see L8 or L12 on 132.
The L3 (C) DS seemed to be a favourite for doing this at the time, rather than using L1 L66 or L2.
