There some unusual low height pylons in the South West. This is one on Boyne's Lane near Shaftesbury, Dorset. They have three insulators and cables and two earth wires. i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF0350.jpgHere's another one, this one is on the A394, near Falmouth, Cornwall. i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF1304.jpgI also saw some connecting to L3 and PL16 pylons when I was taking a train to Weymouth. They are at Thornford, near Sherborne, Dorset. I don't have any pictures of them at the moment, but I might see if I can photograph them. Anyone know what design they are and are there any elsewhere? Thanks Les, looks like they are the single circuit PB SS0 pylons.
I've looked at the ones you've photographed and they seem to be the double circuit ones, what's so ugly about them?
I don't think these ones I've photographed are that bad, I kinda like them. The only places I've seen them is in Dorset and Cornwall.
