Oops I just realised that I never did the fieldtrip report for Norden! Here is the link to the photo set - lots of L2 and PL16 goodness. s195.photobucket.com/albums/z231/paulsrailphotos/UK%20Pylons/2010%2007%20Norden/The mystery of the ZP route is that the towers are numbered from the L2 DJ90 tee tower ZP 216 to the terminal tower L2 DT ZP 220. But the now dismantled continuation of the ZP route that included the famous Pink Pylon (ZP 226) was obviously numbered ZP 221 onwards towards the tee tower at Greenmount (north-east of Bolton) where the ZP line used to join the ZQ line. Quite why this was isn't know as generally a tee branch is coded ##A where ## is the main route code in this case ZP. However since there is already a ZPA tee branch from Stalybridge to Littleborugh tee then obviously they couldn't do this. Any other tees from the ZP route would have to take a new line code and would imagine this would be true of the tee branch that heads off to Elland and can be seen from the M62 above Huddersfield. Cheers Paul
