Hello again, my second pylon fieldtrip in July was another local affair the day after my trip to Stalybridge. In the other thread on pylon plans & drawings you will have seen my notes about getting an etched kit for a Milliken PL1B made.
So a sunny afternoon sees me hopping on a train to Greenbank then a nice walk in the Cheshire countryside to get to the PL1B circuit. This is a circuit that runs from Crewe to Runcorn I think with a break at Hartford and joins an double circuit route near to Runcorn.
Looking across the fields towards Chester west direction sees the PL1B S2 tower

Some unknown towers to sub 33kV design, primarily used here to take the line over the railway line and deviate the line

Looking the other way, another PL1B S2 and the other unknown sub 33kV pylon used to deviate this line after which it becomes a pole line

An L7 ST tower with bucket terminal connections. I believe that the line originally continued southwards from this point and joined up with the other half of the circuit somewhere near to Hartford Ind Est where there is a substation with a PL16 DDT
