Everyone - A fishing trip to Central Scotland on Sunday got me these, for once not in gloom! Shiresmill isn't a million miles from Longannet. L8 / 275KV in the middle of a field. This is the same circuit that winds its way across Fife and on to Dundee: llandru.servehttp.com/shiresmill/P3151070.jpgA gaggle of L8 marching their way back to Longannet: llandru.servehttp.com/shiresmill/P3151071.JPGllandru.servehttp.com/shiresmill/P3151075.JPGA side view: llandru.servehttp.com/shiresmill/P3151079.JPGOn a slightly different note - I couldn't stop because of the tourist traffic but has anybody else seen the oddities between Crianlarich and Lix petrol station - they all look like PL7 D2 with the (Buchanty type) PL1 or PL16 also in the mix with both suspension and deviation components and with 33kv on one side and 132KV on the other. I work up at Invergordon from time to time and i'll come back this way the next time I'm up, will make a change from oil rigs Les

Thanks Les, those oddities sound rather interesting.

A gaggle of pylons - I think we should adopt that name and whenever we are descirbing groups of pylons we should call them a gaggle.
Excellent photos as ever!
