Been a while since the last one! A trip to Bradford had me killing a couple of hours on the way home and here's the result. Enjoy the pictures.
Heading off down the Selby Fork from Ferrybridge to Monk Fryston on the A63 finds these 400kv L6MD CEGB 17/5993 connecting Ferrybridge to Eggborough. Please note these are single insulator / 4 conductor (except for the deviation towers)

This L6MD30 (0-5o) looks like a JL Eve D3 on steroids and looks like it's been strengthened. Unusual design and still running brown ceramic.

An excellent example of telephoto congestion distortion (distance compression) with the Olympus 40-150mm maxed out! Pylons look just as good as railway lines...

East of Monk Fryston village was this genuine Milliken PL1S ED51155 string, a rare beastie in the North East. This string also has these GEN/OHL L4MS pugly efforts (near Selby) but couldn't get near them.

Off west down the A64 gets me to the village of Bramham.

This small substation is very visible from the A1 and is where all these 132 L3DS strings congregate - with these two L3DT ED51190 and an L3DT90EWCO ED51190

In the background is one of these L3D30(0-10o) 17/9568 or ED51187 efforts this one looks nearer 5o but is not of the original 'Dounreay' type but the more common later type, YV47R and others call these babies L3D10/30.
