A friend returned from Germany recently and of course he snapped some pylons for me while he was there. Here is one of them - it seems their policy is to build big and then attach conductors whereever they see fit. Looks like several circuits on the same tower in a few cases. My friend says "these pylons support the supply lines emanating from the RWE power station in Essen (RWE is the german power company)". Makes it easier to find routes if you can stick 6 circuits on one tower!
