Yes I believe that this was the first L66 line and coded XA running from Strathaven to Harker. It was later replaced by an entirely new L8 line sometime in the early or mid 80s. The next L66 line is the XB from Harker to Stella and followed by XC from Stella to Monk Fryston via Spennymoor, Norton. Only the southern part of this line now remains from the former junction with the XCP L3 line to Poppleton, York and then running down to Monk Fryston still as L66s. I haven't come across an XD coded line so unsure if this existed or not. XE is still the prototype 275kV single circuit line from the former High Marnham power station towards Sheffield now truncated to join an L8 line.

Looking at old OS Maps available via the National Libraries of Scotland mapping site it would seem that the original L66 XA line might have actually started near to Cambuslang in the suburbs of Glasgow and not Strathaven as that did not seemingly exist in those days. It was later replaced by an L6 line to Strathaven and then later the present L8 to Harker. Paul
