My Favourite pylon is a L6 with four insulators on deviation and double on suspension, L2 with the } Spacers, L3 with } Spacers, PL16 with one earth wire

Nice. I like anything old, particularly unusual old pylons. This is a PL1S transposition tower with different sized circuits at the side of the A9- s1286.photobucket.com/user/batman19711/media/709_zpspt1y799x.jpg.htmlParked the car and walked along the verge for a mile (literally) to get pics of this one. Sadly it's probably now gone. Last time I drove past they were removing the conductors and insulators from this part of the line, that was more than a month ago. The PL1s around that area are all condemned, the nearest old pylons still in service are probably at Tummel Bridge. I'm going there with my wife's good camera one day soon (she doesn't know yet).
