Here's some pictures I took of Bridgwater Substation.
I take it these are pre grid pylons, there quite a few of them here.

The terminal tower.

Here they are heading out into the fields.

Some PL16 pylons heading from the substation.

These PL16 pylons used to be single circuit, but now they have been ugraded to double circuit.

Some more pre grid pylons and some PL1S pylons further down.

i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF4989.jpg
These might be the nearest PL1S pylons to me.

More pre grid pylons, these start on the opposite side of the M5, they head into Bridgwater.

Here's the 275kV L2 pylons from Hinkley Point.

i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF4452.jpg
They head up the M5 for a bit, then cross over the River Parrett on the A38, near Bridgwater.

i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF5006.jpg
Some PL1b pylons heading from Bridgwater Substation on the A372, looks like they start off with a PL16 deivation tower.
i1222.photobucket.com/albums/dd486/cmaldridge/DSCF4460.jpg
What design is this pylon?

And finally here's some L7 pylons starting several hundred yards from the substation.

Enjoy!
